RESPIRA organizes a Retreat with Bob Stahl in Colombia
For the first time we had the privilege to have profesor Bob Stahl in Colombia. Bob Stahl. Bob Stahl is a Senior MBSR (MIndfulness Based Stress Reduction) at the Center for Mindfulness at Univeristy of Massachusetts. He is the prinicpal teacher at the Insight Center in Santa Cruz and teacher at Spirit Rock Center in California. Our team organized a silent mindfulness retreat in Sasaima from April 27 to May 3 open to anyone who was interested in learning about the practice and spending those nights listening to his teachings. It was a wonderful experience to have him.
Our team spent some days with Bob after the retreat in a reconciliation workshop. It was very important for our team due to the work that we do in the country! Thank you Bob for sharing your wisdom and kindness with us!

Mindfulness & Yoga: Opportunities for Peacebuilding in Colombia
RESPIRA in alliance with Fundación Dunna and Universidad de los Andes organized the first International Conference, Mindfulness & Yoga: Opportunities for Peacebuilding in Colombia. We invited Melanie Greenberg, Tish Jennings, Ahimsa and Morgan Vanderpool, four international speakers to join us and share about their experiences and knowledge about these practices in their own countries.
We had a testimony from Franklin Cuero, one of our teachers and facilitators in Tumaco, telling about his experience with RESPIRA.Two panels in which both RESPIRA and Dunna could share about the work that they are doing in the country and a round table in which we discussed how can these practices can be opportunities for peacebuilding in Colombia. 433 people attended the conference. Including employees from both the public and private sectors working for peace in the country. We are happy to know that it awakened so much interest for people and we hope we can continue doing our work with your support!
